The Story of The Young Theatre's Logo |
![]() |
The first, original, logo used by The Young Theatre at North Harrow from the time of the first written Constitution in 1966 was something that developed from a doodle on a scrap of paper at what was obviously a pretty boring committee meeting!! |
| However, the current Young Theatre logo is a development of an original 1973 design by Margaret Tweedy, then a member of The Young Theatre at Harrow, who won a competition held within both groups (Harrow and Beaconsfield) to design a logo which reflected the activities of the organisation. Margaret's winning design was based not only on the letters Y and T but also on the two traditional masks of drama - comedy and tragedy | ![]() |

Then, in 2007, Tim Hill - coincidentally one of the founder members of The Young Theatre (at Beaconsfield) - modified it for use by this Young Theatre Archive and also animated it. |
| and, two years later,Tim came up with this logo specifically for the XYT ex-member section of this YTArchive | ![]() |
