avoiding the SARS-CoV-2 novel coronavirus and COVID-19
2021
May With the gradual easing of Lockdown, plans are afoot for entries into two drama festivals and the group will be making an early start with this year's pantomime rehearsals.
2020
December With coronavirus restrictions eased, there were a few socially distanced meetings in early December but the group returned to its previous inactive state with all planned productions up in the air when restrictions were strengthened again. The Executive Committee, in consultation with members and parents, is considering several alternatives such as online activities and perhaps an open-air production in the spring or summer.
September The members were about to return to a socially distanced Curzon Centre on 27th for regular weekly meetings but at the last minute they were postponed indefinitely in accordance with governmental restrictions on meetings as the risk of infection in the country increased.
In view of the ongoing difficulties with meetings of any sort, the AGM was furloughed
too. The existing committee agreed to provisionally carry on in their posts pending further discussions.
August A few members were lucky enough to take part in an outdoor Red Kite production of Twelfth Night.
May The group held a lockdown Burnham Film Festival.
March The pandemic's lockdown resulted in the postponement or cancellation of all the planned productions by The Young Theatre and Shared Intent, and the suspension of the Young Theatre’s weekly meetings:
