The first, original, logo used by The Young Theatre at North Harrow from the time of the first written Constitution in 1966 was something that developed from a doodle on a scrap of paper at what was obviously a pretty boring committee meeting! |
This Young Theatre logo was a development of an original 1973 design by Margaret Tweedy, then a member of The Young Theatre at Harrow, who won a competition held within both groups (Harrow and Beaconsfield) to design a logo which reflected the activities of the organisation. Margaret's winning design was based not only on the letters Y and T but also on the two traditional masks of drama - comedy and tragedy |
Then, in 2007, Tim Hill - coincidentally one of the founder members of The Young Theatre (at Beaconsfield) - modified it for use by this Young Theatre Archive and also animated it. |
and, two years later,Tim came up with this logo specifically for the XYT ex-member section of this YTArchive |
These are variations on a theme in use by the Group from 2011 to 2016 |
A logo incorporating the group's URL was introduced in 2017 |
The latest versions of the logos for the various sections of the YTA website can be seen below.
Our current favourite logo variant is here where you can see limited snapshots of many incarnations of the Young Theatre’s web sites.
