"If I be waspish, best beware my sting"
Ian came across this photo of Rick Warden from 2012. It reminded him how he has missed not being able to make his usual visits to YT and professional companies such as in Stratford and on the South Bank. The picture is of Rick Warden as Hortensio in The Taming of The Shrew at The Globe in June 2012. It links to the story about Ian and Rick meeting up in earlier news.

Sue Thorndike, RIP
Sad news. We have just heard that Sue Thorndike died at Easter. Sue and her husband Dickon were members of Beaconsfield Theatre Group for many years and were both founding members of The Chiltern Shakespeare Company. They were always hugely supportive and friends of the Young Theatre. The image shows Sue when she appeared in Snow Queen in 1987.

The Archers Anniversary Quiz
Kenton Archer (our own Ricky Harwood/Richard Attlee) is interviewed in the festive edition of the Radio Times - with his on-air wife, Jolene (Buffy Davies) as they are co-hosting the Archers 70th Anniversary Quiz on Radio 4 on New Year's Day at 7.15pm. We hope he got paid well - running a pub like The Bull in the current situation must definitely substantially hit their normal income!!!
