This production of Smike by Roger Holman & Simon May is freely based on Nicholas Nickleby by Charles Dickens and was the first musical to be performed by THE YOUNG THEATRE at Beaconsfield. Directed by Mark Britton, it was staged on 7th, 8th, 9th & 10th January 1981 at the Curzon Centre, Beaconsfield. It was also the first time that the two founders of the Beaconsfield group (Aviva Wiseman and Ian R.Wallace) had performed together onstage.

Many thanks to Mark Britton for his photos.
