This was a "play with music", written and directed by Ian R.Wallace with music by Alan Kingshott. It was performed by THE YOUNG THEATRE at Beaconsfield as the first production in their 10th Anniversary Season on 10th, 11th &12th January 1980 at the Curzon Centre, Beaconsfield - and, at that time, severely tested the technical capabilities of the group - a test which they passed with flying colours. A particular highlight of the preparations for the show was a visit to rehearsals by one of the group's Patrons, Dame Wendy Hiller (see below) - who not only met the cast, and talked to all the principals, but also gave them a lot of invaluable advice.
