The Young Theatre is not just about performers. The group relies very heavily on a team of young theatre technicians and young business people - who may also perform, if they wish.

Our technicians do everything from design to costing to construction/implementation of set, lighting, costume and sound.

The group also needs business minded young people to handle all the groupís marketing activities from the website to press to box office, the groupís finances from planning to cash-flow to accounting, the groupís administration from membership records to minuting meetings to organising social events.

 Mr Scrooge

All we ask is an interest in theatre and a commitment to excellence.

We do ask you to make a commitment to YT, and you will need to balance your school commitments and other extra-curricular commitments with involvement in the group.

 Rosencrantz and Guildernstern are Dead

The aims of the group are:

  • To stimulate an interest in the theatre amongst young people
  • To encourage and develop that interest by providing as many facilities as possible for a practical training and active participation in a wide range of theatrical activities
  • To establish and maintain, by united effort, a high standard of performance and presentation in all group productions

We meet nearly every Sunday between 2pm and 5.30pm at The Curzon Centre, Beaconsfield. Click here for map
